The App requests permission to access your device's camera to photograph book pages. Images captured through the camera are:

• Stored locally on your device
• If you choose to sign in, synced to your private cloud storage account (Firebase)
• Used solely for OCR (Optical Character Recognition) processing and text-to-speech conversion

1.2 Account Information

If you sign in using Google Sign-In, we collect:

• Email address
• Profile photo (if available)
• User ID (UID) for account management

This information is stored securely using Firebase Authentication and is used solely for account management and cloud synchronization.

1.3 Content You Create

The App stores:

• Book metadata (titles, cover images)
• Page images
• Extracted text from pages
• Translated text (if you use translation features)
• Generated audio files

This content is stored locally on your device and, if you sign in, synced to your private cloud storage account.

1.4 Device Information

When you submit reports or use certain features, we may collect:

• Device manufacturer and model
• Android version (SDK level)
• App version

This information is used to troubleshoot issues and improve the App.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Camera Access: Used exclusively to capture images of book pages for OCR processing
• Cloud Storage: To sync your content across devices when you sign in
• OCR Processing: Images are sent to third-party services (Google Document AI or OpenAI) to extract text
• Translation: Text may be sent to translation services (OpenAI) if you use translation features
• Text-to-Speech: Text is sent to TTS services (ElevenLabs) to generate audio
• Account Management: To provide personalized features and sync your library

3. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

• Google Firebase: For authentication, cloud storage, and database services
• Google Document AI / OpenAI: For OCR and text extraction
• OpenAI: For translation services
• ElevenLabs: For text-to-speech audio generation
• Google Play Billing: For in-app purchases and subscriptions

4. Data Storage and Security

• Your data is stored locally on your device and, if you sign in, in your private Firebase cloud storage
• We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data
• Your cloud data is private and accessible only to you when signed in
• You can delete your account and data at any time through the App settings

5. Public Publishing

The App offers optional public publishing features. If you choose to publish content publicly:

• You may only publish content you have the rights to publish (e.g., your own handwritten content or public domain materials)
• For copyrighted materials, only non-infringing metadata (like titles) may be published publicly
• You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to publish any content publicly

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We only share data:

• With third-party service providers necessary to operate the App (as listed above)
• If required by law or to protect our rights
• With your explicit consent

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data stored in the App
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Opt out of cloud synchronization by not signing in
• Revoke camera permissions at any time through your device settings

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
